Role Summary
As a Techno-Functional Project Manager, you will lead the planning, delivery and operational transition of projects that bridge client business objective, solution integration design and technology project execution. Beyond Gantt Charts and Project Plans, you will bring working knowledge and some functional experience in deploying enterprise supply chain business applications. You will take ownership of projects across the lifecycle—from initiation through deployment and hyper care —working closely in a multi-stakeholder environment involving client teams, Spice engineering, operations, customer success and account management leads.
Your functional domain will include supply-chain, integration and ERP/Enterprise Business Systems and enterprise-scale initiatives. You will leverage your dual strength in business process (functional) and broad technical understanding (data flow architecture/ integration) to keep projects on-track, to anticipate and mitigate risks, and to deliver value to our clients and our internal teams.
You will also support our strategic account teams to help measurably grow our solution and services footprint in strategic accounts.

Global Remote, with occasional global travel to client sites as required
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery
- Lead project initiation: define scope, objectives, success metrics, roles & responsibilities, stakeholder map, and governance structure.
- Conduct gap analysis between existing business processes/systems and desired future-state solutions
- Develop use cases, business process flows, and data mapping documents.
- Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and test cases.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for EDI processes, mapping guides, and partner setup configurations.
- Develop project plans (schedule, milestones, resource allocations, governance) and track execution, dependencies, deliverables and status.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve mapping, translation, and connectivity issues.
- Work closely with EDI developers and solution architects to ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical solutions.
- Work with technical leads/architects/teams to translate business requirements into technical design, integration strategy, Spice SaaS system configuration and deployment approach.
- Manage risks, issues, changes and escalations; maintain project documentation, RAID logs, decision logs, and change control.
- Drive quality and customer experience: take a hands-on approach to testing the SaaS solution being deployed and helping internal and external teams to troubleshoot and bug-fix.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams: Client teams, Spice engineering , QA and external trading partners.
- Personally manage and be available to client during hyper care period, supported Spice’s support/customer success teams.
Account Relationship Support
- Participate in long term strategic account plan development and help establish & maintain key relationships within the client account. Support long-term customer success by working with the Account Management teams to support solution and services footprint.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.
- Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken.
- 7+ years of project management experience, including managing enterprise business applications projects for example: ERP, WMS/TMS, EDI/API/integration, e-Commerce, etc.
- Strong understanding of both functional/business process and technical/integration domains (“techno-functional”). For example: procurement processes and B2B integration.
- Experience with supply-chain systems and data flows: order-to-cash (O2C), procure-to-pay (P2P), EDI transactions, trading partner onboarding, or cloud/SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns: APIs, middleware, EDI, data transformation, enterprise systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- Skilled in project planning, execution, risk/issue management, change control, and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Comfortable with ambiguous environments and adapting delivery models to different client settings. Spice uses a waterfall/agile hybrid model to deliver solutions.
- Location: based in Toronto region and able to travel occasionally to client sites.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- PMP or other project management certification strongly preferred.
- Experience working in SaaS/cloud integration companies or with high-volume supply-chain networks.
- Working knowledge and experience of major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) and their integration points.
- Familiarity with modern integration tools (Mulesoft, Boomi, Cleo, Informatica) or cloud architecture.
- Experience with PM/ticketing tools (like Freshdesk, JIRA, ServiceNow, Click-up, MS Project).
