As the SAP Functional Manager you will be the main responsible and gatekeeper for all the SAP Modules, maintaining the blueprint and landscape up to date, supporting the business in designing and developing new solutions, ensuring that all changes, projects, enhancements and fixes are applied according to the company’s methodology and best practices of the industry; as the SAP Architect, ; also, you’ll manage the workload of the functional team based on the business priorities, coordinating and communicating in a timely manner with the stakeholders. As an important agent for change and innovation, you’ll have to be up to date with recent updates of existing and new modules in the market, SAP and non-SAP, that bring efficiency or robustness to the core business process while pushing cutting edge technologies or automation.

What success looks like:

• Monitor and execute all efforts needed to ensure that the SAP modules and architecture are in optimal condition for the operation at all times.
• Maintain the company’s SAP blueprint/landscape/architecture up to date, designing new solutions in an efficient and effective way, communicating, and mitigating any risk that appear.
• Provide support and guidance to the business in new projects or initiatives that involves SAP developments or integrations.
• Manage the workload and backlog of the functional analyst team, guaranteeing that their capabilities are keep updated, while also working in sync with the Development team.
• Define and maintain KPIs that measure the SAP platform, integrations, jobs and the actual team’s performance.
• Maintain communication with the main business stakeholders, anticipating their needs and adjusting the dedicated resources when needed.
• Lead all activities related to any incident or maintenance that could affect the SAP operation.
• Keep all development and support processes resilient, ensuring security and stability of the operation, while adapting them to the company’s needs and speed.
• Monitor the SAP ecosystem and the tech-retail industry for breakthroughs, mandatory maintenances, or new technology, proposing projects that bring added value to the company.
• Define yearly the SAP project roadmap aligned with the business mission’s criticals, lead its execution, track it progress and communicate its results.
• Manage and forecast the capacity, involving hardware, software/licenses and people demand.
• Define and control the SAP budget for Capital and Operational expenses, using efficiently all the resources.
• Keep all process documented while ensuring that every change has been done through the approved methodology of the company.
• Support the functional and development team in designing solutions that are aligned with the current architecture, using the infrastructure in an efficient way.
• Maintain solid relationships with external vendors.
• Lead and participate in all cybersecurity efforts and initiatives.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP management, architecture, system design, implementation, and maintenance
• Experience with SAP ECC, HANA DB from a Functional, Support or Management Role is required.
• Experience as a Functional Analyst for SAP
• Experience with S/4HANA, SLT, SAP BTD SDK, EWM, F&R, UDF, FIORI or other SAP solutions, with coding and debugging is a plus.
• Have led multiple projects related to SAP modules and external integration with 3rd party software.
• Familiarity with various development and project management methodologies
• Experience with several development frameworks, standards, and platforms
• Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, configuration, and administration
• Experience managing a team of SAP specialists.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• SAP and other certification are a plus.

Language: Bilingual (Spanish and English) is essential.
