Senior Infrastructure Analyst
Supporting the Director of Infrastructure and Operations, this individual will be responsible for, implementation, support, and management of the IT Infrastructure. As a vital role in IT Infrastructure and Operations group, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day network operations and maintenance to minimize system downtime and maximize productivity. Lastly, as a member of our core team, the right person for the role will be a leading example of our culture.
What success looks like:
- Participate in the implementation of IT infrastructure initiatives for the business group.
- Build and manage network and access environments at business sites in collaboration with solutions teams.
- You will provide day-to-day administration, monitoring and support of server, storage, and network environments, as well as after-hours/on-call support to deal with issues as they arise.
- Contribute to and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
What you bring to the role:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, combined with directly related, extensive experience in production control, server technology, network and desktop services.
- With a focus on IT Infrastructure Analyst, System and Network Administration, the Senior Infrastructure Analyst will also interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support the company’s cyber security function.
- Windows 2012-2019 server, workstation, and networking experience in a complex, multi-vendor environment.
- You have hands-on experience with Windows operating system environments, Citrix and VMware
- Microsoft & Network certification is desired.
- Experience with Ethernet Routing & Switching network, IPsec tunnels & network security.
- In depth experience managing FortiGate firewalls, Web application firewalls, IDS/IPS environment and including the FortiAnalyser toolset.
- Experience with Aruba Wired and Wireless Networking and associated tools such as Mobility Master, ClearPass, Aruba Central.
- You have experience with ITIL methodology (incident, change and problem management).
- Experience managing third party service providers preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT security concepts and best practices, as used in server and network technologies (IDS/IPS, firewall, antivirus, mail hygiene, endpoint security, data protection, authentication); experience with Identity and Access Management tools.
- You understand the importance of IT to maintaining a 7×24 operating business environment and need to minimize change impacts during regular operating hours.
- Solid knowledge and strong work experience with the following technologies to provide day-to-day administration of:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Web proxy
- VMWare virtualized 7.x
- VMware NSX
- Citrix XenApp (6.5, 7.5)
- Commvault Backup (11.0)
- Windows Active Directory and GPO policy
- Network, Patch & server Management tools (SolarWinds, ManageEngine, PRTG etc.
- Network Routing and switching Protocol (spanning tree, OSPF, iBGP & other)
- IPSEC, tunnels, data capture, NetFlow, QoS
- Data Centre facility management such as power, rack, space and cabling
- Aruba wired and wireless network and management tools including Aruba ClearPass
- HP 3PAR storage systems with NAS and FC SAN
- FortiGate. Firewalls, web/ADC, Forti Manager and Forti analyser
- Security appliance and all included Security software
- Avaya IP office & Avaya Contact Centre Select
- Network and System Management solutions
- Maintaining technical Documentation
- Experience with DR Environment
